Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of content on Young County Criminal History. By continuing to use the website, you accept all terms stated here. Do not use the website if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with a local, Texas, or federal government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other screening governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The resource only helps visitors locate Young County and Texas criminal-record sources. It is neither a private investigation business nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

Young County Criminal History is an independent reference resource. It is not connected to any government office, does not hold official records, and cannot retrieve a record, perform an official background check, or file documents.

Its purpose is to direct readers to the Young County Sheriff's Office, the appropriate court clerk, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You must not use the website to:

  • Violate federal, Texas, or local law
  • Threaten, stalk, harass, or intimidate another person
  • Make a credit, employment, housing, or insurance decision
  • Enter or attempt to enter systems without authorization
  • Run automated scraping, bot, or extraction tools against the pages
  • Interfere with operation or prevent another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked source may not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 62.064 specifically requires a warning against using registry information to injure, harass, or commit a crime against a registrant. Registry information serves lawful public-safety awareness, never vigilante conduct or unlawful exclusion.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We do not create background checks, consumer reports, or credit reports and are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. You agree that neither this resource nor a linked tool will be used to:

  • Choose whether a person is hired, retained, or dismissed
  • Evaluate a rental or housing application
  • Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Take any other action regulated by the FCRA

A legally permitted consumer report must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider. A statutory fingerprint process must follow the instructions of the Texas program authorized to request it.

5. No Legal Advice

Content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Young County warrant, pending charge, conviction, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to a particular person. Consult a lawyer licensed in Texas for advice.

6. No Warranties

The website and all content are provided "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Information will always be complete, accurate, or current
  • Access will be continuous or uninterrupted
  • The pages will contain no bug, error, or security weakness
  • An outside search result will be complete or correctly matched

Young County and Texas records change as charges are filed, corrected, dismissed, restricted, or expunged. Nothing here is an official statement from a clerk, court, sheriff, or state agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government offices, courts, agencies, legal resources, and commercial search providers that we do not control. We are not responsible for their availability, prices, data practices, accuracy, or content. Review the destination's own terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, design, logos, graphics, and code on this website belong to Young County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create a derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of this website, reliance on its information, or use of a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, actions, demands, expenses, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the website or your violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. A dispute related to use of the website must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revision becomes effective when the new version is published on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or end access to the website at any time, without advance notice and for any reason.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as far as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions can be directed through the Contact page.
